La Ermita de Santa Bárbara 2017
There’s an evolution toward more freshness and balance, even if the alcohol is higher in this low-yielding and concentrated vintage. The nose combines ripe berries and spices, a touch of smoke and earth, and the palate is full-bodied, juicy, voluptuous and generous with a slightly warm finish.

La Ermita de Santa Bárbara is a single vineyard of old bush vines next to the Virgin of Santa Barbara Hermitage in the municipality of Tabuenca. The grapes create concentrated, ripe and meaty wine. Like sweet plums are wrapped in tobacco, cedar, milk chocolate with a hint of vanilla. Intensely pleasurable on its own or paired with grilled meats like Korean barbecue.
